Last week, the first ever Ukrainian Beach Volleyball Club Championship took place in Kyiv. Over four intense days of competition, teams battled fiercely for the honor of representing Ukraine in the upcoming European Championship. Naturally, Winners players were in the mix, with players Maksym Horobets, Danylo Svyrydenko, Mykyta Anhelov, and Danyil Zakharchenko forming a formidable Winners Sports Hub team ready to take on the challenge!
According to the tournament rules, matches between clubs unfolded as follows: First, two pre-determined pairs faced off in matches. If these ended in a tie, the outcome was decided by a thrilling golden set! In this crucial moment, teams could mix and match any combination of players from their roster of four, going all out for the win.
While the Winners Sports Hub team couldn’t clinch a decisive victory this time, they fought hard, finishing with a final score of 1 win and 2 losses in the main bracket, securing a respectable third place. Given the level of competition, we believe this is an impressive result, and we wish them the best of luck in all future events!
