This week, DreamHack Summer 2024 wrapped up with a bang. Held in Jönköping, Sweden, this colossal esports festival featured our favorite football simulator, EA Sports FC 24. A whopping 512 top-tier players battled for a $100,000 USD prize pool, with the top 6 securing their spots at the Esports World Cup 2024.
Building on their journey from DreamHack Dallas, CLA’s eFootball stars Fico, Neerven, and JokerTole came back for a rematch. Joining them were Ostat, Majkel, zimny, dewidek, Schabson, and natsuu from CLA Poland, along with Banderas from the Croatian division.
The competition kicked off on June 14th with a series of qualifiers, culminating in the top 32 players moving on to the Sunday playoffs. Unfortunately, none of the CLA players made it past the qualifiers, though Fico, Neerven, and Ostat (aka Ipierug) made impressive runs in their brackets.
